TYPES OF MEDIATION

Types of Mediation

Mediation can be about children, property & finance, or both.

Child-only Mediation

  • Agreeing contact; how much time they will spend with each parent and how this will work.
  • Where the children will live.
  • Financial support.
  • Agreeing parenting in the future.

Property and Finance Mediation

  • What happens regarding the family home.
  • The division of assets.
  • How debts/liabilities will be dealt with.
  • How all other finances will be split, such as pensions, savings and investments.

All-Issues Mediation

  • All the above issues are addressed in All-Issues Mediation.
  • Arrangements for the children and property & finance.

Direct Consultation with Children

  • In some situations, we can offer Direct Consultation with Children. This allows children to be heard and gives them a direct voice. Parents however, still retain overall responsibility for making decisions.

Mediation is about making positive agreements so that you can move on with your life.

"Our mediator did a tremendous job and acted impartially. You all do a great job"

"My husband and I were at total gridlock. We were able to use the experience of mediation to come to an agreement - wonderful"
